Our Traditional Home
We are thrilled to welcome back our renowned former Head Chef, James Ostridge, who has a deep passion for sourcing and utilizing local ingredients. With James at the helm, our kitchen will offer a delightful blend of classic dishes using the finest local ingredients, as well as unique creations that push the boundaries of traditional flavors.
James's culinary journey took him to open Mill Street Kitchen in Nambour with his wife Haley, where they successfully showcased local produce and earned a reputation for excellence, even during the challenging times of COVID. Their dedication to quality was recognized when they were named the "Best Paddock to Plate Restaurant on the Sunshine Coast" by Qantas Magazine.
Inspired by their food exploration in Europe, particularly the UK in 2022 James and Haley decided to return to the Sunshine Coast and create a British pub-style concept in the beautiful hinterland of Maleny.
Our first home
Brouhaha Maleny is where it all began. The true Hinterland Brouhaha experience.
In 2016, the craft beer haven that is our Maleny venue sprang to life and immediately started producing premium quality beer and serving amazing, fresh, local food that drew from the hinterland’s bountiful resources. Brouhaha Maleny grew year on year, hitting capacity by 2019.
Brouhaha Baringa has taken on the demand of our brewing requirements. Brouhaha Maleny has had many changes over the past 12 months and due to popular demand the focus is back on the kitch with a changing menu that showcases local produce.
