Brouhaha Brewery Strawberry Rhubarb Sour Gabs Hottest 100 aussie craft beers

Strawberry Rhubarb Sour in Gabs Festival Hottest 100

Gabs Festival Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers voting is now open!

In our 2 and a half years we have brewed more than 40 different varieties of beer. Picking our favourites for our eight beer core range took some time, but we got there in the end. And this is a story about the little beer that could!

Our Strawberry Rhubarb Sour was one of the last additions to our core range, and it quickly become a crowd favourite! Using local natural yoghurt from Maleny Dairies as the souring culture, we then add fresh rhubarb and strawberry puree to add a big berry nose and a tart rhubarb finish.

This is a beer that we are super proud of, and have been completely overwhelmed with the success and feedback from punters like you. We would love it if you would help us get this beer into the Gabs Festival Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers. To vote just head to this link and vote one Brouhaha Brewery Strawberry Rhubarb Sour. The rest is up to you.

If you are in the Maleny or Sunshine Coast Hinterland region, we would love for you to swing by and grab a beer and a feed and see what we are all about. Head to our Bookings page to book your table, as we fill up quickly on the weekends.

Brouhaha Brewery craft beer Summer Menu

Sunshine Coast Summer Menu now live at Brouhaha Brewery

A change of seasons means a change of menu. Head Chef James has worked his magic in designing our new Summer Menu. Making the most of the beautiful seasonal produce we have on the coast. James has created a menu that will pair perfectly with a cold beer on a hot summers day.

The Maleny Wagyu Hotdog is a re-imagining of our bangers. A mouth-watering Maleny Wagyu sausage served on a toasted brioche bun. Topped off with house-made pickles. Pair this bad boy with our New Zealand Pale Ale, and you are on to a winner.

The introduction of a Cold Seafood Platter goes great with a cold beer. Mooloolaba Prawns, local bugs, Fraser Isle Spanner Crab crostini and Brouhaha Beer cured salmon. A deliciously light, yet filling feast that pairs perfectly with our Raspberry Saison.

And for something a little bit lighter, we have a Maleny Buffalo Feta Salad. A delicious brick of Maleny Buffalo Feta served with local heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers and olives and some slices of basil toast. The creamy and tangy characteristics of the feta will pair perfectly with our refreshingly crisp Maleny Lager.

Book your table now to try these and some of the other new additions to our summer menu.

Brouhaha Brewery National Agriculture day support you local farmer

Support your local farmer with National Agriculture Day

At Brouhaha Brewery, we love our local producers and celebrate them every day! To create our seasonal menu, we source vegetables from The Falls Farm, Good Harvest Organic Farm and Mountain Top Mushrooms and our beef from Maleny Wagyu to name a few.

Today is National Agriculture Day. A day that we can stop and celebrate the good that our farmers do each year. They work long hours so that we can enjoy safe, delicious produce all year round.

Celebrating and supporting your local producers on the Sunshine Coast is easy. We are lucky to some of the best farmers, producers and markets that Queensland has to offer.

The easiest way to support your local producers is to shop at local farmers markets. Local Farmers Markets are not hard to find on the Sunshine Coast.

Noosa Farmers Markets are on every Sunday and bring together the best of local producers along with handcrafted products, food and drinks.

Kawana Waters Farmers Markets happen every Saturday at Kawana State Primary School. Boasting an array of organic fruits and vegetables, condiments and fruity jams, you are sure to be able to stock your pantry with fresh local produce.

Witta Farmers Markets held the third Saturday of every month. The Witta Markets focus on the best small growers and producers from the greater Blackall Range region. With a mission to support the local economy and create a sustainable way of life, the selection of locally grown and produced seasonal fruit, vegetables and locally made products make it a breeze to support your local producers.

Hinterland Harvest Markets are held in Woombye every Saturday and is a haven for local organic produce. With the goal to strengthen the relationship between farmers and consumers, if there was ever a market to get to know where your food comes from, this is the one.

Brouhaha Brewery Sunshine Coast Business Awards

2018 Sunshine Coast Business Awards

Tomorrow night, more than 600 guests will find out the winners of the 2018 Sunshine Coast Business. Held at Novotel Twin Waters, the awards include 120 finalists, covering 15 different categories.

We are so proud to have Brouhaha Brewery announced as a finalist in the agribusiness category. We will be rubbing shoulders alongside Sunshine Coast businesses like Coyo, Moffat Beach Brewing Co, First Batch Coffee Roasters and one of our veg suppliers, Good Harvest Organics.

To make it through as a finalist, we had to complete two different judging processes. The first step involved an (extensive) written application and a (potential) mystery shop. Together, Brouhaha staff worked on this application over a three week period, dedicating upwards of 20 hours towards the application.

On making it past the first judging criteria, we were invited in for an interview with a judging panel of three Sunshine Coast Business experts and industry leaders. Our written application was subjected to another fine tooth combing by another judging panel.

We are so proud to have made it as a finalist amongst some hugely successful Sunshine Coast Businesses. Mostly we are looking forward to letting our hair down at the Awards Gala tomorrow night.

If you would like to experience Brouhaha your self, and some of the local produce from Awards Finalist Good Harvest Organics, book a table today!
